ActionScript

I’m looking at media development with ActionScript, the built–in language for Flash scripting. ActionScript is very similar to JavaScript, but it runs inside a .swf file. I’m looking at the creation and manipulation of ActionScript both from within the Flash 8 Professional environment (the version I use), and also from 3’rd–party tools such as MTASC (Motion Twin’s ActionScript Compiler). Also, http://swxformat.org/ has some interesting functionality.
