Microsoft's .NET technology is one we view with skepticism and distaste. However,
its popularity makes it both a valid player in the web development scene, and
a necessary element to consider in large-scope development. Creating tools
that are useful to a large number of developers involves considering not only
their desires, but also their opportunities. Many developers who would otherwise
use the "cool" languages and platforms may be "stuck" in the Microsoft world.
Guess Media is examining .NET for two reasons: 1) To explore the creation and manipulation of .NET-compatible technologies and, 2) To explore the conversion of .NET technologies to what we regard as superior development technologies. This may seem a bit biased... It is. ;P
